Why is this refactoring tip a good thing?
I don't get it, if we create a subclass, doesn't make it longer and more difficult to read and understand? What's the benefit?

Yeah, I agree that this slide is not very informative. Please follow the course further, once you reach the Extract Subclass refactoring there will be an expanded example that explains this in detail.
